OUR FIRST VET VISIT WITH BUDDY

We thought we should get him in for a general exam and have his nails trimmed. C commented that it practically was a spa visit:

Weight taken: 14 lbs 11oz, Claws trimmed, Ear wax removed from both ears, Exam and assessment:

He's a couple of pounds overweight no doubt due to his overindulgent parents-evidently a known phenomena in American vet circles. So, we are getting a lower calorie kibble with higher protein, feeding him less wet food and cutting back on treats. No more Doritos! (joke, we do not feed our cat such things)

We were going over his foster papers and we discovered that we had made yet another mistake concerning his age, sheesh. Ok. Finally. Buddy's birthday is June 3, 2020 so he is going to be 3 years old.

We were so pleasantly surprised, relieved and proud of our lad-he was v mellow with the vet. Not a complaint with his claw trimming and ear wax removal. No hissing, not clawing. The former crew would have to be put into restraints in order to trim their talons. He was the most patient patient. He meowed a few times while in the carrier-we interpreted this as a reaction to all the D-O-Gs in the waiting room. When we got home, he walked out of the carrier and sauntered over to his food dish for a snack.

No worse for wear after his vet visit
