She became angry when the apes stopped appreciating and acknowledging her, choosing instead the sky spirit. "Haven't I provided for you and all others?" she asked. "You can embrace me, you cannot do so with a spirit" she wept, hurt. When the apes began to poison her, she began to withdraw much of her healing powers. The air and water became bad, crops failed and the apes perished. It grieved her to commit such an act but the fact was, with the apes gone and with a dose of her TLC, the planet began to heal and thrive once again.
