GONE LEAVES

As predicted in my post from 10/25, the rain and the wind brought down most of Mr. Birch's leaves the following day and evening. Despite a steady breeze, his leaves hung on until an occasional burst of wind would jettison them into a swirl and cascade of gold.

Now, Mr. Birch and Mr. Maple out front are almost completely denuded as are large swaths of trees in woods in the area. What is left are the few leaves who in the wind, tremble.
