Extraordinary experience to celebrate C's birthday-starry nights swirl, portrait's eyes blink, walls and floors move with images-photographs cannot possibly depict the totality of this show. On exhibit through early February in the TCF Center (old Cobo Hall). Well worth the price and the drive!
The picture above depicts my favorite part of the show-starting with the image below, the blossoms begin to detach and blow in the wind and multiply in numbers until the entire room (and floor) are a moving, swirling blizzard of almond blossoms.

I grew up in the country and we had fruit trees. When the time came, the blossoms would let go and if there was a good breeze and one was aware, you could go out and walk amongst them.
