In the Neighborhood: it's been a wet Spring so far with temps flip-flopping from chilly to warm and back. Things are greening up, many trees/shrubs are leafing out. We're in the middle of avian egg-making time and the local Mr. Redbirds have been renting out time slots to perch and boast about their virility to the ladies. Everyone else is busy making nests and firing up on chow after a long hard Winter. The Diner has been hopping!
After a fierce Winter, their first, the woodland Gnomes are glad it's Spring and enjoy basking in some sunshine.
Yellow finches!
MamaC has been savagely hungry, grazing on anything she can find. I have to tap on the window to get her away from the lilies next to the Gnomes. One wonders how many she is getting ready to feed🙀
One of the new squirrels grooming, this one has teats and is quite friendly-not running away when I approach or appear on the end of the deck to throw peanuts. Wonder if she is related to LG?
It was avian couple's night out-M/M Purple Finch are regulars, usually getting the same booth in the upper level. Mr's red plumage has brightened recently:
M/M Mourning Dove always grab a booth on the lower level:Mr. Redbird stretching:
